wood grilled asparagus

Ingredients:

Asparagus
olive oil
garlic cloves minced
salt and pepper

Directions:

Soak desired wood chips in water for 1 hour (I use oak)
Place soaked wood chips in foil and poke holes in the top to allow smoke to escape, or place wood chips directly on charcoal, depending on whether or not your using gas or charcoal.
Remove Asparagus stems.
Coat Asparagus with 1 TBL Olive Oil in a dish
mix in three to 4 cloves of minced garlic.
Salt and pepper to taste
Let sit about a half hour while your grill heats up and you see smoke.
Heat grill to medium high.
Place Asparagus on a vegtable grill or fish pan ( if you dont have one, soak some tooth picks or wooden BBQ skewers and thread on the asparagus.
Cook roughly 4 minutes a side or until soft.
Remove from grill, sprinkle with parmasean cheese and serve .........

Enjoy
