Any folks out there have a summer sausage (venison) recipe that does not use curing salts/msg etc.?

Thanks!

Man it has been a long time since I've seen you post. Hope all is good for you and your family. How are the dogs?

Hiya Olds!

Both dogs have passed into doggy heaven -the first one went at the age of 10 due to a tumor on her kidneys in December 2007; the second died of heart problems in September 2008 and as you could imagine, pretty devistating for us.

We picked up a new addition (replacement?) December 2008 and although a bit of a pain to have a youngster again, she's a delight to us both.

Speaking of....how is Skye?

Skyway is doing fine except I have to keep a close eye on his anus. As he has aged he has gotten "fat" at the belly and now his anus sticks out. He is always tearing the skin there and I'm using several times per day "Band-Aid" Antiseptic Wash on that area. Plus he is still a good 1 to 6 baths per day.

I love him, but I pray I never again have another handicapped dog. And yet when he looks up at me with that mush-looking face I just melt.

Sorry about your dogs...that is a heart break for sure.

I'm moving my garden to the side of the house. It will be down-sized but still large enough. We are also putting in a blackberry and grape patch. Back in August I put in 3 dwarf bannana plants as well. Our avacoda, grape-fruit, loquat and calamonda trees are doing well and giving much fruits.

Business wise we have grown this year and given how things are today this is really a good thing.

I don't remember if you were around when this happened but we are now a cleared facility with the Department of Defense. Level 5 full secret clearance.

This is who owns me now. My Granddaughter McKencie:

Last December I got me a Challenger SRT8 with a 6.1 Hemi... Had her a little over 170 and she still had something in the pants.
